Prosthetic Laboratories 18 th Annual Charity Invitational Golf Tournament

92 golfers showed up at beautiful Willow Creek Golf Course on Saturday, August 14th, 2005 to play 9 holes of golf and raise money for the Hiawatha Foundation and Make-A-Wish.  This year's tournament raised nearly $2,000.  The four person "best ball" tournament is held the middle Saturday in August. The event kicks off with 3:00 pm shotgun start.  After 9 holes, the golfers enjoy a buffet meal and prizes are awarded in a number of categories. Many thanks to those sponsors, donors, golfers and volunteers who make this possible!  Next year's Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Willow Creek Golf Course.

Accessible Playground Project Completed

On Saturday, May 14, 2005 the Minnesota Orthopedic Society sponsored a playground building project in Lake Phalen Park, St. Paul Minnesota. The project was coordinated though KaBoom! and involved various groups contributing time and financial gifts to complete the project.

Prosthetic Laboratories made a financial contribution of $1,000.00 and three employees were on hand for the construction. Rick Miller, Stacey Stoll, and Doug Sand joined in to assist in various phases of the project.

The Northern Plains Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists also assisted with a financial contribution and physical labor. Everyone agreed it was hard and somewhat complicated work, but the end result was fantastic.
