Accessible Playground Project Completed
On Saturday, May 14, 2005 the Minnesota Orthopedic
Society sponsored a playground building project in Lake
Phalen Park, St. Paul Minnesota. The project was coordinated
though KaBoom! and involved various groups contributing
time and financial gifts to complete the project.
Prosthetic Laboratories made a financial contribution
of $1,000.00 and three employees were on hand for the
construction. Rick Miller, Stacey Stoll, and Doug Sand
joined in to assist in various phases of the project.
The Northern Plains Chapter of the American Academy
of Orthotists and Prosthetists also assisted with a
financial contribution and physical labor. Everyone
agreed it was hard and somewhat complicated work, but
the end result was fantastic.
