The staff of Lair's Shoes

Founded in 1950 by Curt Lair, Lair's Shoes began as a family owned business specializing in orthopedic footwear. Two decades later, the family tradition continued when George Lair purchased the business from his father. The business grew as George added custom molded shoes, custom orthotics, hypoallergenic shoes, and quality footwear lines. In 1982, the store doubled its size by relocating just down the block from its original location on 3rd Street SW.

In 1989, Prosthetic Laboratories of Rochester purchased the business from George Lair and moved the store to its current location in the heart of downtown Rochester. Conveniently accessible by skyway and subway from the Clinic and many parking options, we are in the subway level of the US Bank building at 155 1st Avenue SW. Despite the change in ownership, the mission of Lair's Shoes to provide quality comfort footwear and specialty services to its customers has remained unchanged.

Karolyn is an American Board Certified Pedorthist and the store manager of Lair’s Shoes in Rochester, MN. Prior to joining Lair’s, she was an orthotic technician at Prosthetic Laboratories. She has more than 11 years of experience in the field. Karolyn specializes in custom shoes and diabetic insoles.

She received her pedorthic training at Scholl College in Chicago.

Karolyn is a member of the Pedorthic Footwear Association.

Warren is an American Board Certified Pedorthist with more than 28 years of experience in the field. He specializes in providing proper footwear and fabricating custom accommodative orthotics.

Warren received his pedorthic training at Scholl College in Chicago. He has an Associates of Arts degree from Rochester State Junior College.
